April: Storm Education and Preparedness Month

The Denver Channel is hosting several severe storm educational video’s and articles this month to prepare Denver residents for early spring storms and what they can bring. AutoWorksPDR of Denver is also helping to educate their neighboring residents and cities.

Denver Hail Fact: Most Denver, Colorado are surprised to hear that the Front Range of the Rockies has of the highest frequencies of hail and is often called the “Hail Capital” of the United States!

The American Red Cross  offers a free weather alert App for tornadoes and hurricanes. The App features an informational section to help prepare and respond accordingly to severe storms in the area. The “I’m Safe” feature will send alert messages to friends and family,  a shelter finder and more.

Education begins at home. We encourage parents to teach their children about the severe storm threats that are prevalent in their area and prepare a plan of action if under threat.
